About Ricki · Incanto Venetian

Where precision
meets creativity.

Venetian plastering and bespoke decorative finishes, created with passion, precision and individuality.

The person behind the finish

The person behind
Incanto Venetian.

I'm Ricki, the person behind Incanto Venetian, specialising in Venetian plastering and bespoke decorative finishes.

With a professional background in engineering and a lifelong passion for art and creativity, I bring together technical precision and artistic expression in every project I undertake.

My engineering career taught me the importance of accuracy, patience and attention to detail. Working to millimetre-perfect tolerances developed an eye for the finer details, allowing me to notice things that might otherwise go unseen.

Today, I bring that same level of care and precision to my Venetian plastering, combining a methodical approach with the freedom to create something truly individual.

01 / My journey

From engineering
to individual surfaces.

Creativity has always been a part of who I am.

From an early age, I had a passion for art, and although my career initially took me into engineering, the desire to pursue something more creative never disappeared.

For many years, I wanted to find a way to combine my practical skills with my artistic interests. When specialist Venetian plastering training became available in the UK, I recognised an opportunity to explore something I'd been drawn to for a long time.

My initial training eventually led to an invitation to Italy, where I was able to further develop my skills, gain a deeper understanding of specialist materials and explore new application techniques.

Training in both the UK and Italy has helped shape my appreciation for the craftsmanship, versatility and creative possibilities of Venetian plastering. What began as an interest has developed into a genuine passion for creating beautiful, individual surfaces.

02 / My style & inspiration

Depth, warmth
& character.

What I love most about Venetian plastering is the opportunity to create something that feels truly personal.

Although I enjoy exploring a wide variety of styles, materials and techniques, I'm particularly drawn to natural, earthy tones and rich, tactile textures.

There's something special about creating a surface that has depth, warmth and character. A finish that invites you to reach out and touch it, rather than simply admire it from a distance.

I take inspiration from natural materials, subtle variations in colour and the way light interacts with different textures.

For me, the most interesting projects aren't necessarily the biggest or most elaborate. They're the ones that have character, individuality and a story behind them.

I believe every space should reflect the personality of the people who live or work within it, and I enjoy creating finishes that help bring that personality to life.

03 / Bringing your vision to life

A shared vision.
A finish you can feel.

I believe the best results come from good communication, collaboration and a shared understanding of what we're trying to achieve.

Some clients approach me with a clear vision, perhaps inspired by a photograph, a particular material or something they've seen elsewhere. Others have an idea of how they'd like their space to feel but aren't quite sure how to achieve it.

I enjoy both approaches. I'm always happy to share my knowledge, offer suggestions and explore different colours, textures and techniques to help develop a finish that feels right for the space.

Before work begins, I create a physical sample of the proposed finish, allowing you to see and feel the colours, textures and overall effect firsthand.

This is an important part of my process, helping ensure we're both confident in the direction of the project before the application begins. My aim is to make the experience collaborative, enjoyable and reassuring, from the initial conversation through to the finished result.

04 / A genuine passion for the craft

Care in every layer.

For me, Venetian plastering is about much more than creating a beautiful wall. One of the things I value most is the creative process itself.

I've always had a busy mind, but when I'm working with materials and creating a finish, I find a level of focus and calm that's difficult to replicate elsewhere.

It's a time when everything else seems to fall away, allowing me to become completely immersed in what I'm doing.

Whether I'm developing a new texture, experimenting with materials or refining the smallest detail, I genuinely enjoy the process of creating something with my hands.

That personal connection to my work is something I believe makes a difference. I want every finished surface to reflect not only the client's vision but also the care, patience and passion that went into creating it.

05 / My commitment to every project

Your space.
Treated with respect.

Having work carried out in your home or business requires trust, and that's something I never take for granted.

I believe exceptional craftsmanship should always be accompanied by a professional, respectful and considerate service.

My engineering background instilled a strong appreciation for precision and organisation, and those values remain central to how I work today.

I take pride in maintaining a clean, organised working environment and treating every property with the same care and respect I would my own.

Attention to detail is important to me at every stage, not just in the finished surface but throughout the entire experience.

Ultimately, I want my clients to feel comfortable, confident and reassured that their project is being approached with genuine care.

06 / Where I work

Based in Lincolnshire.
Working UK-wide.

Incanto Venetian is based in Lincolnshire, offering specialist Venetian plastering and decorative finishes to clients throughout the UK.

Having spent much of my previous career travelling extensively for work, I'm no stranger to working away from home.

I'm happy to consider projects nationwide and am equally enthusiastic about opportunities internationally.

I enjoy working alongside homeowners, interior designers, architects and contractors who appreciate craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail.

For me, it's the nature of the project, the people involved and the opportunity to create something special that matter most, rather than simply its location.

07 / The Incanto Venetian philosophy

Quality. Creativity.
Individuality.

My ambition for Incanto Venetian is to build a reputation for quality, creativity and individuality.

I'm not interested in simply producing the same finishes time and time again. What excites me is the opportunity to explore new ideas, develop my skills and collaborate with people who want to create something distinctive.

I want to be known for bringing spaces to life with finishes that reflect the personality and vision of the people who live and work within them.

Above all, I want clients to remember not only the finished surface but also the passion, dedication and respect that went into creating it. I want them to feel that their home or space was treated with genuine care.
